Are you tired of your apartment? Are they constantly raising your rent prices? I know in today's economy they definitely are not lowering them. There are many pro's and con's to both sides of renting and buying:

Buying:
PRO'S CON'S

Mortgage Tax Benefit Down Payment
Home Equity Closing Costs
You Own It Lawn Care (except townhomes and condos)
It's the American Dream Maintenance- Unpredictable
Not Throwing Away Money Towards Nothings
Mortgage Payment Stays the Same

Renting:
PRO'S
CON'S
No Lawn Care May Have Pet Restrictions
No Maintenance Rules: no painting, no mounting tvs ect
Easy Rent increases
Low Start-up Costs No Equity
Paying Rent with Nothing to Show For
Move Around More- Not Stable Home

Now the question is which one of these works best for you and your lifestyle? Renting may be the answer, but for many of you buying is the answer. All you really need to do is save up money for a down payment and closing costs and you can be even closer to owning your own home.
